Setting Up Outlook Express

To set up an email account on Outlook Express, complete the following steps.

1. Start Outlook Express.
2. If the "Set up a Mail account" option is available (as shown below), select "Set up a Mail account" and proceed to Step 5.
   
   
3. If the "Set up a Mail account" option is not available (as shown below), click "Tools" and select "Accounts."
   
   
4. Click "Add" and select "Mail."
   
   
5. Enter the name that you want to use for this mail account and click "Next."
   
   
6. Enter the email address that you want to receive mail for and click "Next."
   
   
7. Make sure that POP3 is selected.
8. Enter "mail.midasnetworks.com" as your incoming server. You must enter your ISP’s outgoing server or your mail will NOT be sent. Consult your setup information from your ISP for this information. Click "Next" when you have filled out both fields.
   
   
9. Enter the Account name and password. Consult your Midas Networks information sheet for your user name and password. Enter this information and click "Next." Do not check the "Log on using SPA" box or you will not be able to receive email.
   
   
10. Click "Finish" to set up your account.
